I was reading on this post... https://www.augforums.com/forums/everything-else/prevent-acumatica-new-user-email/ about the only way to turn off the notifications.
What about different notifications depending on user type?
For example
An employee/internal user gets an email that says:
Hello (Insert Employee name)! |
Your password must be updated. Please login to your usual site ( https://ouracumatica.hostedsomewhere.com) u sing the following credentials where you will be prompted to change your password: Username: user Email address Please visit https://ouracumatica.hostedsomewhere.com Blah, blah blah. |
But an unlimited external user would get:
Hello (Insert contact name)! |
Your password must be updated ( https://portal.ouracumatica.hostedsomewhere.com ) using the following credentials where you will be prompted to change your password: Username: user Email address For Help visit: https://portal.ouracumatica.hostedsomewhere.com/WTHAmIDoing/ (Different Blah, blah blah.) Attachment 1
|
How would I accomplish that?
Maybe I should be more specific?
The welcome email is set in the "Email Preferences" Screen (SM204001)
We want to send different emails based on a users "class" in the system, and or other fields. Differently formatted emails would go out if the following conditions are met:
New user, Portal User, Dropship Class, = email 1
New user, Portal User, Wholesale Class = email 2
New user, Employee = email 3
New user, Guest = email 4
Since there are no automations to modify the conditions in, can it be done in code, in Macros, on the template itself?
I can't think of how to do this with settings. Turning off the default email notifications and using 2 Business Events would probably work well: one Business Event to catch the first user class and another Business Event to catch the second user class.
That said, you might want to repost this Discussion Topic in the Everything Else forum on the new official Acumatica Community website:

Here on AUGForums.com, most of the content will now focus on reporting, with the exception of general topics in the Everything Else (click here) forum and the AUGForums.com Real Talk Podcast (click here) where we'll continue to focus on real Acumatica customer stories (click here if you'd like to participate).
