| Queena, The video's that Tim shared in this discussion string are conceptual designs. They were taken from a demonstration conducted by developers at Acumatica showing tools they are testing. These do not exist in the production product. Therefore, you won't find either of them in your instance of Acumatica, Additionally, I don't recommend that you download or install the tools in a production environment as they are not supported, may break other parts of the system, and may never be deployed by Acumatica. | |||||

| What happens when Acumatica sends an email out, then someone replies to it? Well, I used to think that it went nowhere in Acumatica, but today I learned that's not the case. Let's say you open a Purchase Order and note that there are no email activities attached. Then you use REPORTS -> Print Purchase Order to view the printed Purchase Order and the SEND button to send it out as an email attachment. | Our customer service team gets calls from customers who wants to place an order . We use Acumatica to create purchase order and sales order .My question is ‘can an API be setup so that when receving a call from a customer , based on the customer contact number , Acumatica should automatically pull up the customer information and show it as a pop up in the Acumatica screen. | Hi Fozzie, You are correct, no Macs for designing reports unfortunately. | Rodney, I'm not a licensing expert but I strongly suggest the issue relates to your current version. You are pretty far out of date from what Acumatica currently supports. You may need to open a case with your reseller and Acumatica to get a special license file. Version 4 was retired on January 26, 2017. | Great question and one that can be VERY confusing. An Acumatica Instance is just a website or a URL. A Customization Project can affect two things: 1. Front-End: The Acumatica front-end is essentially just .aspx web pages. Each screen that you visit in Acumatica is just an .aspx web page. There can only be one web page for the screen in each Acumatica Instance. Multiple companies running under the same Acumatica Instance all share the same front-end code. 2. Report Designer: When it comes to slicing and dicing where you want something that is interactive, Report Designer in Acumatica is not that great. Report Designer is really better for printed forms like Checks, Customer Invoices, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, etc. As soon as you want to change your mind on something, you basically have to go build a new report and you have to use a tool that is more of a programmer's tool, not so much an end-user to ... | |||||

| I am going to start posting some of utility scripts that help me with day to day on-premise tasks with Acumatica. Here is a script in PowerShell that I use - so I don't have to babysit a dev server when I change out the version of Acumatica. Steps of this script: It verifies that your are an administrate user. You pick the version of installer out of the directory of installers. | You can replace the pictures / images that appear on the Acumatica login screen by replacing the files on the IIS web server. The default location is:C:\Program Files\Acumatica ERP\Icons But your location might be different depending on where Acumatica was installed. Also, for Acumatica SaaS customers (most Acumatica customers are SaaS), I think you have to open a support case with Acumatica because they control the IIS web server (but I haven't done that personally). | Can Acumatica track Attributes on Lot numbers and Serial numbers? The answer is yes. Not out of the box, but with a free customization project that you can download on Github. First, you need to download the appropriate PXLotSertialNbrAttributeExtPkg.zip file from the Releases area of the Github project: Then load the .zip file into the Customization Projects (SM204505) screen and Publish.
