| Well now I feel a bit foolish. Our instance of Acumatica gets hung loading in Chrome for some reason and Firefox is a bit spotty at times so I was using Edge (ugh). After registering my Acumatica instance in Azure for Power BI I was able to add a Power BI tile with a report I built, however the report never loaded in the tile. After trying to get that to work I figured I had to add Power BI as an external app, this is where the problems listed in this post came into play. | Hi Rowlf, You are missing something that is totally not intuitive so don't feel bad. It took me a few months to figure out how to do it. But, once you figure it out, it's not too bad. The Acumatica Mobile App has its own menu. You don't get access to everything in Acumatica by default. You have to decide what screens and what fields on those screens should be displayed in the Acumatica mobile app. Now, currently it's not very user friendly to make changes to the menu for the mobile app, but I've heard that some kind of menu editor is coming in the future. ... | |||||

| @jt, given that the second DB is a non-Acumatica DB, you will not have (direct) access to it from the framework. I can think of a couple of workarounds: 1. The trigger suggested by @carl-brooks Acumatica does not encourage the use of SQL objects i.e. SQL views, stored procedures, triggers, etc. for 2 main reasons: i) your application is no longer DB-agnostic. ii) your application would no longer be certifiable by Acumatica.Having said that, it's my impression that you are looking to do this as a one-time-only requirement. | Hello! The Acumatica Test SDK is primarily used for "black box" testing. It is a wrapper for Selenium and is very powerful! If you are familiar with Selenium, then the Test SDK should come naturally. However, it's usually used for TDD and regressions testing, not necessarily data import and export, although possible. | @timrodman I am working with a client that recently began using Acumatica 2019R2 and have Office 365 for their hosted Exchange mail. We setup their email accounts as you showed and Acumatica is sending and receiving mail properly. The only problem is that now when the emails are processed by Acumatica's inbound processing schedule, it is marking the emails as read so in the employee's Outlook profile, ALL of the mail shows briefly as Unread and then switches to Read even if it wasn't sent through Acumatica. | You need to install the Report Designer application first. See this thread: Then you can open the file above in Report Designer. Once you do that, just go to File -> Save To Server... Then fill out the information for your Acumatica instance with your username/password (if you have multiple companies in your instance, you have to put the company name after @ in the Login field) That will save the report into your Acumatica instance. | |||||

Then setup separate Dashboards per Branch in Acumatica and assign security to the existing Branch security groups. Create multiple dashboards in Power BI under one user. Then setup separate Dashboards per Branch in Acumatica and assign security to the existing Branch security groups. | I tried to install the Acumatica ERP from the Acumatica Developer Network download. The Web Site Configuration screen did not give an option for an application pool, so I just made one up. Acumatica loaded up but it didn’t open correctly. The error screen is attached. I assume the failure is because I didn’t specify a valid application pool. | Hi @jbeiler, I posted a response to your question on community.acumatica.com: I think you could make this work by doing a cross join between CSAnswers and CSAttributeDetail. Replace ‘TEST’ with the id of your attribute. Because of the cross join, each of the possible choices (from CSAttributeDetail) will be compared with each of the answers (from CSAnswers). The InStr function returns the position where the text is found, or 0 if not found. The hidden parameter makes it easier to build the formula into the Condition tab. | @jmck well, I mean if you have a report writer that can run reports in your browser, like SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, etc. You point to an Acumatica Generic Inquiry as the data source over OData. The report writer would have its own login which isn't ideal, but since it runs in the browser, you should be able to embed the page in Acumatica so it looks like it's running in Acumatica. | I haven't used it personally, but my understanding is: 1. Acumatica is running as a IIS web service. Maybe they could have found a way for IIS to talk to printers directly, but I'm not sure if that's even possible. Also, since most Acumatica customers are SaaS, it wouldn't do any good since the IIS server in the cloud wouldn't have their printers installed. Printing from the web browser is limited because of the security in a web browser. So DeviceHub gives Acumatica a more reliable path to your printers. 2. | Acumatica needs to really focus on micro verticals with products, ISV apps, marketing, partners, etc. Prospects are very interested in an ERP that really addresses their micro vertical industry needs. A machine shop will be much more interested in E2 Open than Acumatica Manufacturing Edition. A discrete manufacturer make to order, may prefer IQMS above Acumatica Manufacturing Edition. | The new AP Automation functionality in Acumatica 2020 R2 looks pretty slick: From a workflow standpoint, for paper AP Bills, I would probably setup my copier/scanner to scan to a folder so the PDF files all accumulate in the folder. Then I'd drag those PDF files into Acumatica individually and delete them from the folder after dragging each one. I also wonder if the new FILES -> UPLOAD USING MOBILE APP button works on the new Incoming Documents (AP301100) screen for those working from home without a copier/scanner. | Hello all, Wanted to share how I overcame a recent permissions issue when installing Acumatica locally on my Windows 10 laptop. My mission was just to do a local install for my own learning and testing but it turned into this little puzzle.
