I just tried the Acumatica Schema Browser utility from Juriy and I like it a lot. It's nice and simple, but gets me the information that I need.
If you don't know Juriy, he runs an Acumatica Developer Blog over at https://blog.zaletskyy.com
To download and install Juriy's schema browser, do this:
1. Go here and download the .zip file to your computer:
https://github.com/YuriyZaletskyy/DacSchemaBrowser/raw/master/DACSchemaBrowserAllInPackage.zip
2. Go to the Customization Projects (SM204505) screen in your Acumatica environment, import the .zip file, and publish it.
It installs a custom screen called Acumatica tables (AT102000):
Use the Choose table field to select an Acumatica table.
The Is Key column tells you if the column is part of the primary key on the table. Sort Descending on this column to have the primary keys float to the top.
The Field Name field is the name of the field in the Acumatica database.
The Display Name field is how the field gets displayed inside Acumatica.
The Data Length and Data Type columns tell you how many characters can fit into the field and what kind of field it is.
If you highlight a row in the grid and click the GET TABLES button, it will show you other tables that have a column with the same name:
Nice description!
Just want to add if anyone finds some bug, you can contact me here or over github or blog for reporting it.
Thanks Juriy!
Tim, thanks for posting the above. You are an Acumatica champion. I will nominate you again for 2021 MVP. Your https://augforums/episode podcasts are amazing.
Hi! Where do I find the Acumatica Tables (AT.10.20.00)? I see it in the Site map but I cannot click on it or I'm not doing it correctly. Sorry but an Acumatica Newbie here. THANKS!
