I was wondering if there was a good (easy) way to get results off of an inquiry screen and onto a report. In particular, I'd like to see results from Inventory Allocation Details screen on a pdf-able report. I'd like to hear other people's experiences with putting this or other Inquiry screens into a report designer report.
If it's a Generic Inquiry, then there's the "fairly new" EXPORT AS REPORT button on the Generic Inquiry (SM208000) screen that allows you to get a fast start on creating a Report Designer report by using the Generic Inquiry to populate the Build schema area of the Report Designer report.
But the Inventory Allocation Details (IN402000) screen is a "regular inquiry", not a Generic Inquiry, unfortunately.
Thank you, @timrodman. I figured I was at a dead end with the "regular inquiries," but felt it was worth checking. Also, I didn't know about the Export as Report on GIs! That sounds like it will be a great time saver.
I just checked the release notes and it looks like the EXPORT AS REPORT button was added in Acumatica 2018 R2.
Thanks Tim, though that was just export to excel.
