Orders entered through Acumatica's Customer Portal: Freight Price not being displayed as part of order
Hi Everyone, hope all is well.
I am working on an engagement where my client is using Acumatica's Customer Portal for their point of order entry with their customers. I am seeing an issue where the Freight Price is not being calculated as part of the "Cart". The portal user needs to click all the way through to the point of submitting the order before they even know what the freight charge is on that order.
The underlying issue is because the the freight price is not calculated until the record is saved. When creating the order in the customer portal, that order is not technically saved to the database until the user submits.
Acumatica came back to me saying that this is functioning as designed, however I believe this might be a flaw. Any user would surely want to see what they are being charged for shipping before they commit to the order!

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this with any of their projects, and if you had any creative ideas for workarounds.
I haven't encountered this personally, but I have encountered a number of shortcomings in the Customer Portal. Customer Portal is very basic. It's not an eCommerce solution in my opinion, maybe a very light B2B Commerce solution at best.
