We are using project specific inventory and want to see what inventory items are listed on a sales order. This is because we want to ensure that we are not missing items on a sales order or that inventory items have not been duplicated on sales orders. There is currently no visibility to see linked sales orders to a projects, within the project screen. In addition, when a project specific inventory is listed on a sales order, you cannot see this information on the project. You only have visibility of the inventory item when the inventory item is shipped and this updated the data field ActualQty within the cost budget tab. It would be great if there was further functionality between projects and sales orders, such as an action to create a sales order directly from the project screen based on the revenue budget tab and the ability to see what items on the revenue budget tab are listed on a sales order. We have created numerous generic inquiries, business events and dashboards due to the lack of reporting for project specific inventory and workflow.
That would be great to see Sales Orders on the Projects screen. Have you added a side panel to the Projects screen for now?
Hi Tim, yes we have added an inquiry as a side panel and then used a business event to create the order. Similar process is used for customer returns and purchase orders.
