If you find yourself needing to extend a Customer to a Vendor or a Vendor to a Customer using an Import Scenario, check this out:

This allows you to use either ACTIONS -> Extend to Vendor on the Customers (AR303000) screen or ACTIONS -> Extend to Customer on the Vendors (AP303000) screen.
