Hello everyone,

my name is Markus Krönert and I am the system administrator of our company (besides other stuff) and responsible for implementing the german white label of Acumatica "Haufe X360" in our company. For that we also have an implementation partner (who is hosting it etc.).

We just started going live with the cRM-Module, but the plan is to integrate Acumatica as much as possible into our processes. So Inventory Management, billing, accounting etc.

Right now we are a little bit underwhelmed by a lack of (from our standpoint) basic functionalities in the cRM (and the Report designer!), but first are there a lot of ways to work around or add functionalities and second the features which Acumatica has are pretty useful and with a solid GUI.

Right now I am digging into the report designer, later on I would like to do customizations as well, but lets see how that will be possible.

I am looking forward to gain and share knowledge here!
Best regards
Markus

@mkronert Welcome Markus. It's always interesting to learn about how people are using Acumatica, including the various white-labeled versions in different countries. People still post here, but I'd also recommend creating an account at Community.Acumatica.com where the majority of the traffic lives these days.

Hello

My name is Sam Takaki and I am the IT Manager at Paris Gourmet. Because if my past experience with NetSuite, Sage X3, MAS90 & Crystal Reports my role here covers many areas, including IT & Acumatica. I've been with the company for 10 months (Acumatica went Live 12 months ago) and have learned a lot so far, but have a lot more to go.

Sam

@stakaki Welcome! With your Crystal Reports background, I'd be curious to hear if you find that developing reports with Acumatica Report Designer takes about twice as long as with Crystal. That's a theory that I like to get feedback on from people.

@timrodman Yes it is much slower and I find ACU report designer has it's own quirks which definitely causes the extra work.

@muhammad-shaamel Nice! Since Acumatica's Mobile App doesn't currently work offline, Orangekloud is definitely a great option for companies that need offline mobile apps that are connected to Acumatica.

I'm a Director in UHY Consulting's Transformation Solutions group focusing on Digital Transformation.  We help companies select ERP software and serve as their sherpa throughout the implementation helping them understand current business processes as well as design their future state both inside and outside their ERP.  We have no financial relationship with any particular ERP Vendor, VAR, ISV, etc., but position ourselves as truly independent in the process.  This helps both the implementer and client have a successful project.  Other areas under Digital Transformation include AI/ML, as well as six sigma, and PMO among several others.  I am here to learn from the community and look forward to interacting with you.  I write import scenarios, dashboards, master data cleaning and migration as well as some configuration tasks.  If you have any questions of me or would like to talk about our services, we are available.  Mostly I'm here to hone my skills in Acumatica. 😉  Thank you for allowing me to join your AUG. https://uhy-us.com/services/uhy-consulting

Hi!  I'm David Guild, the VP Of Finance, Accounting and Administration at a specialty subcontractor construction company.  I find the day-to-day transactional use of Acumatica good for accounting personnel but the out-of-the-box reporting and KPI tracking are sorely lacking for any construction firm.  TONS of potential and I love the unlimited customization available for reporting.  I'm most interested in getting the important and urgent information to my users quickly and in an easy to comprehend format.  I use my skills as an Excel Sorcerer to do that now, but I see where many of my spreadsheets can be replicated within Acumatica....

@dguild Lack of better industry-specific reports is totally a common complaint. Unfortunately, you have to build it yourself at the moment.

Hello, my name is Michael Garner.  I am a CPA and the Controller of a Specialty Trade Contractor.  I am not an Acumatica user but we are strongly considering Acumatica as an alternative to our current ERP.  We are in discovery with a VAR now.  I am very interested in how it can help us manage our inventory of job materials/supplies and also how well it does with financial planning/reporting.  I appreciate any insight that anyone may have.  Thanks!

@mgarner Welcome Michael. Make sure that you add Velixo to your discovery process since you're interested in financial planning/reporting.

@rybanez I'm curious about your setup. How many entities are there? Did you use separate Companies? Or did you go with separate Branches?

Hello everyone! I am Patrick Wills and my current role at Eddie's Hang-Up Display Ltd is website administrator; Although, I feel more like a system admin at this point with how much my job has evolved into using Acumatica. Our company just recently switched over in July and it has been quite the learning curve. I was one of the people who helped spearhead learning the system and teaching others. Now I am the go to person for creating/modifying GIs, reports and dashboards.

Acumatica definitely feels like a different beast compared to our old system. I was only a salesperson back then, but now that I am on the admin side, I can see the potential for Acumatica. We run into issues here and there, but a lot of this is all growing pain as staff develop the skillsets for using the new system.

Hi there! It's nice to be part of this community, and I look forward to sharing the knowledge & doing some networking.

I work for an Acumatica partner, which signed on early this year. We are an industry specific software technology company. And our core software offering has now extended to the ERP world. Our team has worked in our industry for at least 45+ years combined, and we are so grateful to be able to offer a wonderful solution like Acumatica! Personally, I have experience implementing & consulting with SAP Business One. We worked similarly with SAP implementation plans called Accelerated implementation plan, like I have seen on some of my studies with Acumatica the Fast Track implementation plan. I do find the resources at Acumatica far exceeded my expectations. I commonly attend their events or webinars with partners or other training sessions. It has helped me a lot. I would love to connect with anyone in a similar role of implementation/consulting. Have a great day! 🙂

@jowilliams Do you recognize the name Richard Duffy from the SAP Business One world? He worked at Acumatica many years ago (before going back to SAP Business One) and I did a Podcast episode (click here) with him last year.

1. Are you the CFO or Controller?
2. Are you an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant?
3. Are you a Financial Analyst?
4. Are you an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk?
5. Also, I'd love to hear about how Acumatica is working for you in your organization from an Accounting perspective. Is Acumatica easy to use? How does Acumatica compare to your previous system?

1. No, I'm CTO at company AcuPower.

2. No. Also I've took couple of courses on Coursera.com in order to learn more about accounting and finances.

3. Sometimes yes, I do analyze finainces time from the time

4. No

5. We use Acumatica as our tool for generation of invoices. For our CFO Acumatica is easy to use. If to compare with previous, for him Acumatica is just different, as he become used to system, which has another ( post Soviet approach ) approach to accounting.

Heya,

I'm Shulamit Hess from Kurrent in Brooklyn, NY. So first off, call me Shu. 😆

My title is Special Projects, which literally means anything that needs to get done... So somewhat Operations, somewhat IT, a little bit of Finance, and even Janitor when the situation is exactly right!

Anywho, I have a love/hate relationship with Acumatica because despite its not-so-friendly face, it can do wild and crazy things... Problem is my colleagues keep dreaming up new and exciting requests that may sometimes be above my paygrade... which is why I'm here!!

Best!

Shu

@shess Hey Shu, regarding the not-so-friendly face, what do you think of the Modern UI? I know that it's not production-ready yet, but I've dabbled with it a little.
