Is it possible to update field values using Automation steps? I know I can by rolling out a customisation but I haven't done much at all in the automation steps space. Essentially my client creates a Shipment to print the pick list but the goods may not go until the end of the week/month. They want the shipment date to be updated to NOW when the Confirm the Shipment.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Ya, so many problems with ERP systems are actually related to process, people, and politics, but of course the software gets blamed for it.

I would love to learn about this topic, but the link you posted above is no longer active or it says I don't have credentials to view it. We're having a similar issue where we're trying to create a report on our shipments, but because we don't always ship our orders the same day they are printed that is causing some issues.
