Is there a way to change the Transaction Description for a discount that post on the GL? Right now every discount that I apply shows up as "Group and Document Discount" which doesn't help me track what discount was used.

I think you'd need a customization for this. I've run into something similar with the Tax lines that get added to a journal entry.
