What if you have data in a field on a screen in Acumatica, but you want to wipe it out, set it to empty or null?
And, of course, you don't want to do it manually for every single record.
You can use an Import Scenario, but you have to use a formula.
Let's look at an example. Let's say I want remove the Terms from these three Vendors:
The Terms field can be found on the Vendors (AP303000) screen:
But you can't just create an Import Scenario that sets the field to empty. It won't work. You have to set it to Null.
First, take an Excel file and populate it with the Vendor IDs like this:
Then, create a simple Import Scenario that uses the =Null formula to populate the field:
Run the Import Scenario:
And notice that the Terms field is now empty for these three vendors:
Couldn't you add a Terms column to your data provider and assign that value in the Import Scenario and if that value is blank, it would be assigned null in the Data Class?
I'm pretty sure if done this before.
Great point. Just use IIf to detect the blank value and set it to NULL.
