We have some items that were set up as non-stock items, but we'd like to change them to "stock" going forward. Everyone has tried. There must be some way to make it happen without creating new part numbers. Please advise.

Not that I know of, but you could rename the item IDs to something like ZZZ... so they all sort to the bottom
I've never used this process before but there is a function to change item status. Maybe??
The functionality was introduced in 22R2. I'm not sure if any exclusions listed in the 22R2 release notes have been resolved in future releases.
I have had to do this more than I care to. Typically there is a renaming of the part that has to occur. All inventory items are in the same table so you are a little hamstrung there.
