Hello all. We are new to Acumatica and was curious about setting up employees in the system; should we setup employees even though we use a 3rd party payroll processor? (we use and like Paylocity). Is there a benefit to having the employees in Acumatica besides for payroll?

All sorts of benefits:
- Approval and Assignment maps use Employees
- Tasks, Activities, Events use Employees.
I typically setup an corresponding employee for each and every user.
Thank you. As a new user I didn't realize those features are/can be tied to employees.
@edolan It's not intuitive to me when Acumatica wants to reference the User record vs. when it wants to reference the Employee record. Setting up an Employee record for every User puts you in a good position to be ready for whichever one Acumatica wants in a specific situation.
