Hello, we are considering upgrading our instance to 2021r1 from 2020r2.

What is the recommended approach to do this? My understanding is

backup the acumatica database?

-uninstall 2020r2

-download 2021r1

- install 2021r1

- then let 'r rip?

My main concern is that if I uninstall 2020r2, install 2021r1. we decide its not the right thing right now (customizations, not working, etc) then I want to rollback to 2020r2. Am I screwed?

Usually Acumatica provides a test environment where you can get a feel for the upgrade and test your customizations. Are you not working with an Acumatica partner?
