Hi
Wanted to check here if someone have had any experience with this sort of scenario related to discounts:
The scenario is that we wish to have a discount where; when the total amount of a order exceeds 3500, the exceeding amount should have a 100% discount. Meaning that the customer will never pay more than 3500, no mather what the quantity is.
So if Quanity * Unit price is a amount that is >3500, the amount above 3500 should have 100% discount(but the amount of 3500 shouldn't have any discount)
I know, quite a special scenario. I've done some testing around this, but looks like it isn't possible to configure.
Hmmm, seems like this must be a situation involving the government? I can't think who else would cap their pricing.
I can't think of a way to do this. Seems like you would need some kind of tiered discounts to do it where the discount only applies to the amount over the Break Amount. But, as far as I can tell, once you reach the Break Amount, the discount applies to the whole amount, not just the portion above the Break Amount.
What about doing a customization that automatically sets the Discount Amount on the line based on what the total amount of the line is?
Hi
Yep, I'm guessing the a customization is needed. Thanks for the reply, now I know at least that I didn't miss some obvious setting somewhere;)
I never say never because I'm always surprised by the solutions that people come up with. That's why I created these forums.
But I can't think of a way to do it at this point without some kind of customization.
