One of the limitations of Acumatica Analytical Report Manager (ARM) is that you can't report across multiple Companies in Acumatica.
Many times you can handle separate companies by using multiple Acumatica Branches, but you have to share the three C's in order to do this:
1. Common Chart of Accounts
2. Common Fiscal Calendar
3. Common Base Currency
Sometimes you have to have separate Acumatica companies when they don't share the three C's. But, when you do that, you can't do consolidated reporting across them using Acumatica Analytical Report Manager (ARM).
Is there a way to accomplish this in Velixo Reports?
Hi Beaker,
Yes, you can do this in Velixo Reports. This is one of those things that it does which ARM can't do.
Let's say you have a different Chart of Accounts structure across two Acumatica companies. Maybe the Revenue account in one company is 4000 and the revenue account in another company is 41000-01. You could compare the two companies side-by-side by doing this.
First, setup multiple connections, one for each company in Acumatica.
These companies could both be on one Acumatica or even on separate Acumatica instances like shown in this screenshot:
Then, reference those connections when building your report, along with referencing the two different GL Account formats. The formulas could look something like this:
This is great and definitely one of the differentiators between Velixo Reports and Acumatica Analytical Report Manager (ARM).
