Hello! I'm comparing the result of a Velixo ACCOUNTENDINGBALANCE formula with what Acumatica is saying the ending balance for that account is on screen GL404000, and I'm seeing a small difference. Does anyone know if they should be the same value, or what may cause a difference?
Hi Daniel,
The balance should be the same. Please double check that the companies, branch, financial period and account list is the same. If you want to send me your spreadsheet by e-mail with temporary credentials I can also take a look and verify why it's different (e-mail: gabriel at velixo.com).
Velixo Reports Pro has a new feature called drill-down which is especially useful to help identify differences like that. Here's an example: http://recordit.co/Ro4YQeLjt8

Thanks Gabriel, I'll take you up on that offer for review.
I'm excited to start using Pro. Thanks for your work on this, it's a good product.
Daniel
For the benefit of other forum members - Daniel sent me his spreadsheet and I investigated the problem. It turns out that the balance in Velixo Reports matches what is displayed in Acumatica Analytical Reports, as well as the Account Summary screen. There's a slight discrepancy in the Account Details screen caused by an integrity issue in the GL History tables. It can be resolved by running the Validate Account History (GL509900) process. I think it's the first time in almost 9 years of using Acumatica that I see this.
Daniel, thanks for your feedback on Velixo Reports!
Gabriel
I'm glad to have provided a rare error, for what it's worth. I'll further explore this Validate Account History function. Thanks for taking the time to look at this, Gabriel!
