Hi there, just wondering if using Projects / tasks is available yet in the Velixo reports as criteria or in the data.

Currently the analytical report writer for GL, doesn't have Projects and tasks as criteria, and the one for Projects doesn't allow you to expand on GL accounts / subaccounts, so would be great if it was available here as it is in the data, so makes no sense that they are seen as separate.

Hi Leanne,

This is on the product roadmap but not yet available. Reporting by GL Account/subaccount is highly unlikely at this point because the necessary data is not available in the summary tables. It's not impossible, but performance would be subpar if we tried to do reporting by account and subaccount.

Beside Project and Task, it is possible to expand on the Account Group and Inventory Item - have you considered using that to get more granularity in your reports?

Gabriel

Thanks Gabriel, and hopefully it will be available soon as so many clients want it.

I have considered account group and Inventory Item for sure, but its not always an option for clients who already use this data, so I am building a Generic enquiry to get the data into Excel where I can make a Profit and Loss pivot table for them that way as an alternative,  which will hopefully do the job.

A Profit and Loss Pivot Table huh? Love it!

Are you using the Data Model available in Excel 2016 to build your pivot table like described in this video (click here)?
