Hey Everyone,
I am getting in a slew of orders for kits, I need to purchase the components for the orders. SO to Purchase and Drop Ship don't seem to handle kits. They think I need to order the kit, not the components. Is something amiss? I can make a report that knows if I need X kits, then I need Y components, so it's not like the information is too disjointed to grab. I feel like I'm missing a checkbox to enable kit purchasing somewhere. Any thoughts?
I'm not 100% sure that there isn't a checkbox lurking around somewhere, but I doubt it. The Kit functionality is pretty light.
You might look into the Product Configurator module that JAMS built:

I think they have something that allows you to effectively explode kit lines into their components on a sales order which would then result in the components getting purchased.
