I’ve been playing with the new Sales Quotes (CR304500) screen in Acumatica 2018 R2 and I really like it.
Some notes:
- As far as I can tell, this can basically replace the QT order type.
- You have to create an Opportunity first, then click a button to create the Sales Quote from the Opportunity (two separate transactions).
- You can print the Sales Quote or email it to the Customer.
- You can have multiple Sales Quotes entered against the Opportunity, but you eventually have to mark one of the Sales Quotes as the primary. When you do that, it copies the following information from the Sales Quote back to the Opportunity:
- The list of products, the currency and the currency rates, the location, and the tax and discount details.
- When you’re ready, you create the Sales Order from the Opportunity (which at this point is the same as the Sales Quote).
- You don’t have the ADD STOCK ITEM button on the Sales Quotes (CR304500) screen or the Opportunities (CR304000) screen unfortunately 🙁
I’m wondering though what kind if license you need to get this new screen. I’m hoping that it’s anyone with CRM, but I’m not 100% sure because the feature is listed separately. See 2nd screenshot below.
Tim, you can view the License access via Configuration -> User Security -> Access Rights by License Type.
In our system only "Full User" and "Sales & CRM User" can access it - not sure if these roles differ to Acumatica as we are using MYOB Advanced.
Thanks for sharing Royce! I think though that might be a screen that MYOB built. I don't have that screen in Acumatica.
