I have just started my learning exercise on MS Power APPS, has anyone done anything in this area?
If not a good starter for 10 video
From what I got out of the above using MS Power APPS is perfect for internal usage either as a native application or on a web page or sharepoint. It is not a .Net replacement nor suitable for external usage, ie your customers cannot login to it and it caters for simple app requests.
I am at early stages so I pulled data from a GI into an Excel file stored on Onedrive as my data source, there is a trick to format the data as a table otherwise it will not be recognized in MS Power Apps.
If you have, then you are more experienced than me, I would love to hear your experience and some of the ways you have used this.
I hope to be posting back to this thread with some more understanding as I work through this.
All the best,
Carl
Awesome Carl. I've been wanting to, but haven't done anything yet. Power Apps seem to be the new Microsoft Access from what I can tell. One thing I wonder is if Microsoft Dynamics ERP really integrates better with Power Apps or if Acumatica ERP is just as good since I think both are just communicating over APIs anyways.
It is a little weird though in Power Apps to have to pay per user since Acumatica is unlimited users. It would make more ongoing sense from a cost perspective to use the Acumatica mobile app, but of course creating things on the Acumatica mobile app is a lot more difficult than with Power Apps.
Great Carl! I've recently started PowerApps Training. Not yet done anything on the mentioned link. and I can say that it would be helpful. I will make a note to read it.
Thank you for providing good information which absolutely relate to me.
Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone has an update about using Microsoft Power Apps / Power Automate with Acumatica? We have a few business processes (e.g. issue management, design project tracking) that we are handling outside Acumatica using Microsoft products but we want to work on streamlining them. At some point(s) in these flows, we could do with interactions with Acumatica but there seems to be very little information out there about how this works.
Any useful reads, videos or personal experience that can be shared would be great! Thanks.
