Has anyone tried to limit what items an employee create purchase orders? We have some remote employees that are limited to buy 2 items. The auditors are suggesting that we limit what they can create PO's for.
Have a look at Restriction Groups by Item or perhaps Item Class. However I find Restriction Groups kinda unpredictable. Also be careful creating them, they can't be deleted or renamed.

When you say 2 items, do you mean they can only buy A and B or do you mean that they can only buy 2 at any point in time? If you are just restricting them to item A and B why not remove them from creating POs directly and allow them to create requests instead and use the request class that is limited to only item A and B.
