Hi there,

I have a customer, who owns more than 150K fixed assets. All assets are the target of depreciation and they are using straight line method for it. It took more than 3 day (approx. 78 hours) to calculate and depreciate assets. They have 4 core licence.

Do anyone faced the performance issue with FA?

Regards,

Levan

I hate to hear this I have a client with a large number of fixed assets but they are on a smaller license.  They don't want to upgrade to a bigger license and now I'm even less inclined to think that is the answer after seeing this post.  It takes them about an hour to run deprecation for one branch with 6K of assets....they have 4 different books and they can't run it during normal business hours because it brings everything else in Acumatica to a crawl.... 😠

Did you try following indexes? It may help little bit.

SET ANSI_PADDING ON

CREATE NONCLUSTERED INDEX [_dta_index_FixedAsset_413_561437074__K1_K3_K6_K14_K2_K8_4_5_7_9_10_11_12_13_15_16_17_18_19_20_21_22_23_24_25_26_27_28_29_30_31_] ON [dbo].[FixedAsset]

I would definitely encourage you to contact Acumatica support about this so you can get it escalated to the Engineering team. There is a process in Project Accounting that used to take a really long time too. Once people complained about it, they took a look and made it a lot faster. Maybe no one has encountered this yet in Fixed Assets.

FYI, effective 6/3/2021! (Thanks to our new ACM Customer Success Manager for your assistance!)

Acumatica changed the settings on every existing account to 50k for fixed assets, inventory items and business accounts 10m
