I just learned an interesting different between Acumatica User-Defined Fields and Attributes.
You can control access to User-Defined Fields using Field-Level Security. But you can't use Field-Level Security with Attributes.
I guess it makes sense that extra functionality would be available with User-Defined Fields since they are newer and cooler than Attributes.
Here is a UDF on the Sales Orders (SO301000) screen:
And here is the UDF in field-level security:
On the flip side, when using grouping in a generic inquiry, Attributes will display on every line, but UDFs will not. Not sure why they would set it up like that.
