Hey AUG Forums; I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and if your lucky sane!
I have a client who has "requirements" to send fax to some of their customers. Today they simply print a doc and fax through the ole' trusty machine. We would like to explore an option to use an eFax integration to Acumatica, but it seems like there is little out there regarding this. I mean its 2020 so I can't imagine people aren't faxing anymore (I hope you are sensing the sarcasms). The cynic in me wants to remind them of the date as well as the reality that Gmail is free, but I figured I would check to see if anyone here has had the same need.

thanks for any advice you can offer.
I had something planned for this, but never ended up testing, as it became less urgent for us.
We use a VoIP system. The way you send a fax with this VoIP company is via Email. You simply add some parameters of your PBX etc. in the subject field and MailTo address and that is how it knows where to send to and from.
My idea was to create an email template incorporating some hard coded VoIP parameters mixed with the customer information to get fax the invoices over automatically via business events or automation notifications.
I know the idea is a bit under developed, but hope that helps as a baseline. If you do proceed, I'd be happy to hear how it went and help with the details.
I like Ellie's idea to use Email to talk to Fax since Acumatica does a good job of talking to Email.
Great subject on this Discussion Topic by the way. Maybe we also need a SaaS service that can take an Email and chisel it on a stone tablet for you ๐
