It's great that you can drag and drop files onto Acumatica screens and the files attach automatically without even having to click the FILES -> Browse buttons.

But it used to be that you couldn't drag and drop directly from Outlook. You had to drag the Message or File from Outlook to your local files, then you could drag it into Acumatica. The reason was an Outlook and Web Browser limitation, not an Acumatica limitation.

That's why this idea got marked as Rejected:
https://feedback.acumatica.com/ideas/ACU-I-1312

But, in the rejection message, Vladimir provided some useful links that provide a solution.

One of those links mentioned that this now works natively in Chrome as of Chrome 76 so I tried it in my native Chrome 80.0.3987.149 (64-bit) and Firefox 68.6.0esr (32-bit).

It still doesn't work for me in Firefox.

But it does work for me in Chrome! I was able to drag-and-drop all three of these things directly from Outlook into an Acumatica screen:
1. An email
2. An email with an attachment
3. An attachment from an email (not the email itself)

Make sure that you add .msg to the File Upload Preferences (SM202550) screen if you want to drag and drop email messages.

DANGER ALERT: If you do #1 and #2 Outlook will move the email message to your Deleted Items folder. You can click Undo (Ctrl-Z) to undo this move (the file still remains in Acumatica), but you have to remember to undo otherwise the email will be left in Deleted Items. So, practically, I think #3 is the only safe use case, but that's still pretty cool because most of the time I just want the attachment, not the email itself.

There's some more information about what causes this bug. It's still an issue with Chrome: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_windows8-mso_2016/drag-and-drop-works-however-deletes-email-can-we/865f60c3-7980-4465-8a19-4d60b0ae5aba?page=1
