Communicating Drop Ship Tracking
Does anyone have a good method of communicating tracking numbers for items they are drop-shipping to their customers through Acumatica?
I want to clarify these questions. What do you mean to give unique numbers for each item that drop ship sales, is it correct? And Acumatica did not record the item right since it dropships items?
I can't think of a way to do this like with a normal Shipment because a Drop Shipment uses the Purchase Receipt as the Shipment so there is no Shipment transaction which is where tracking numbers are normally stored.
As for notifying the customer of the tracking number information stored in the user-defined field, you should be able to create a Business Event to do this.
