We noticed a flaw in the 'attention' field that our SO form was displaying and were going to change it, but we can't pull the form up in the report designer. The form works fine (other than the attention being incorrect), but when I go to 'edit report' I first get an error message "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: component" and when I click OK to get past the message, it gives me an "object reference not set to an instance of an object" error. Any suggestions on how to get past this?
I've never experienced that before. Does it do that for all versions? Or maybe you're just trying to open the base version? Does the version of Report Designer installed match the Acumatica version that you're connecting to?
Yes, we do have a few versions of that form, but I get the same errors no matter what one I try to open -- and I'm trying to open the most current iteration.
We're on Acumatica 2019 R1 Build 19.103.0030. I can't seem to find a version listed on Report Designer, though. It works fine opening other forms and was used smoothly to modify the QT, confirmation and invoice forms during this project. It just doesn't seem to like the SA/SO form.
I'm not sure either how to see the version of Report Designer you have installed. The only way that I know is to uninstall it and reinstall the version that matches your version of Acumatica. That might fix the error.
There may have been a schema change in relation to that field where it used to use Salutation and now uses Attention
