I do a lot of project accounting and wanted to ask if anyone had any helpful suggestions for project reports that have been successful for them relating to profit and loss per project. Any suggestions for helpful reports to have built out within the Project module?
I don't know the Projects module well, but my understanding is that the out-of-the-box reports are limited.
Have you tried building reports using the financial report writer? You can pull from either the GL or the PM modules. There are a couple examples in the SalesDemo database. Here is one of them (note that the Type is set to PM instead of GL):
I agree with Tim. You can use ARM to create financial reports for Projects as well as the GL.
Also, note that Velixo can retrieve data from Projects as well as the General Ledger. You can find a list of the GL and Project related formulas and functions provided by the tool. Velixo Formulas and Functions
