Hey Guys,
As per the title, can you Pass Dashboard Parameters through to a GI formula, is that possible? I am assuming not but thats why I am here 🙂 Someone can correct me or point me in the right direction. I am probably overthinking something stupidly easy.
I will explain what I am trying to do:
I have created a GI which lists our Top 25 products sold. In a column besides the Inventory ID's I have the total quantity purchased by a single customer selected via a parameter. What we are trying to see is what amount, if any, does this customer purchase of our Top 25 Items.
Now I have this working in the GI. The parameter is only used as a source for the formula in this extra column. Not as a filter. Works perfectly. However when trying to push this GI to a dashboard it all falls apart due to the fact that I am addressing the GI parameter and not the dashboard parameter.
Does that make sense? Can anyone help and or point me in another direction to obtain the result I need?
Thanks
Steve
Ah, good point. It seems like you can only pass stuff to a Generic Inquiry filter, not to a Generic Inquiry parameter.
