Can formulae be added to a column caption to make the heading dynamic; depending on parameter input?
You can probably do something by using OData and excel. Can I ask why you are trying to do this? I am interested to know the use case.
@timrodman Have you ever messed with changing column names in excel when data is coming from oData? For someone who knows it well, it should be fairly easy to set parameters and have them change a column name. I have not really gotten into oData much so I can't say for sure.
You could also try pulling the query into a report and changing the column header there. That may actually be easier than excel.

I just voted for that feedback idea for getting dynamic column names in Generic Inquiries. Sounds like a cool idea.
As for Excel and OData, you should be able to do this. You'd put the logic in the Power Query portion of Excel which is part of native Excel in the latest Office 365 version.
