Last Summer I jumped on a phone call with Patty Benitez from American Payments Solutions (APS) and Joni Girardi from DataSelf. They had an idea to create a community for ISV solutions in the Acumatica ecosystem.
I thought it was a great idea, but I didn’t have the bandwidth to participate in building it. So I was really happy to get an update during a session at Summit 2019.
Acu-Connect is now an official thing, with an official Website (click here), official Email address (click here), and official Twitter account (click here).
Acumatica is a great ERP solution, but, like any ERP solution, it doesn’t do EVERYTHING. That’s where ISV (Independent Software Vendor) solutions come in.
ISV solutions are an important part of the Acumatica ecosystem.
There’s a nice central page on Acumatica’s website that lists all of the ISV solutions. Thanks to Christian Lindberg and his team for putting this together:

But it can be challenging to work with ISV solutions because there are so many, many of them claim to do similar things, and it can be hard to tell what the differences are between them. Also, you have to enter into a separate contact with the 3rd party ISV provider so you have to understand their pricing structure.
That’s why Acu-Connect is important.
Learn. Share. Connect. The goal of Acu-Connect is to provide Acumatica partners (and eventually customers) with a centralized community that they can go to when they need answers or want to share best practices.
