More user-friendly (I.e. drag and drop) financial report writer!

Acumatica needs to really focus on micro verticals with products, ISV apps, marketing, partners, etc.

Prospects are very interested in an ERP that really addresses their micro vertical industry needs.

A machine shop will be much more interested in E2 Open than Acumatica Manufacturing Edition.

A discrete manufacturer make to order, may prefer IQMS above Acumatica Manufacturing Edition. A prospect may even prefer Sage ERP X3.

A food service company may prefer Aptean ERP about Acumatica Prime Food Solution

I think that we start to do very well in Field Service and Construction.

The 2020R2 new features have made our Acumatica Cloud ERP a mature player regarding FInance and Distribution suites.

Thanks for your help

@toonsix Agreed, that would be nice. I personally just don't see Acumatica competing that well with specific vertical products on functionality. Where Acumatica shines, in my opinion, is with strong technology and hybrid functional requirement environments.

I voted for more reports.  Specifically, more reconciliation reports.  I find it difficult to get a period by period picture of how GL accounts reconcile back to their source documents.  I find that their Discrepancy tools in AR and AP just don't do the job.

@wyatt-erp You mean more Report Designer reports right? Or do you think the gap could be filled with Generic Inquiries (with Pivot Tables and Side Panels)?

@timrodman You know me, whatever a report can do a GI can do better 😉

I would like to see a more robust Pivot Table engine with more functionality such as adding calculated fields and more flexibility in creating presentation quality output.

The existing functionality is rudimentary at best and barely checks off the box. It is fine for very basic pivots but is challenged when hierarchical rows and columns are needed.

@pmkohler That would be great to see. As part of that, it would be great to see more investment in a calculation engine on Dashboards that brings them closer to a Business Intelligence tool. That's a slippery slope though because building a Business Intelligence tool is a lot of work.
