Is it possible to select all of the payments at once in the Prepare Payments screen?
I know that I can click on the checkbox on the top of the column to select all of the payments on one page, but I have to go through each page one at a time. I want it to select all of the payments on all of the pages.
Good question Scooter. I've heard a few people ask this before.
The short answer, technically, is no. At least, to the best of my knowledge.
But, if you really do want to create all of the payments, you can just click the PROCESS ALL button. This button will process everything on all of the pages.
Also, the PROCESS ALL button respects whatever filters you have in place, both filters using the parameters on the top of the Prepare Payments screen and filters on any of the columns in the Prepare Payments screen.
Take this example for instance. I have two pages of stuff on my Prepare Payments screen.
Page 1
And Page 2
My data isn't a very good example. I was lazy and just copied the same invoice a bunch of times.
But let's say that I wanted to prepare payments for everything under $75.
I could apply an "Is Less Than 75" filter to the Amount Paid column like this:
I still have more than one page because I essentially only filtered out one AP Bill in my sample data.
Then I click the PROCESS ALL button and it processes everything on all of the pages, but only the things that satisfied my filter criteria.
Now, when I go back to the Prepare Payments screen, the only invoices (or just one invoice in my case) that are left are the ones that didn't meet my filter criteria.
So, not really what you want, but maybe an acceptable workaround.
Thanks Tim. I guess I'm used to being able to scroll down the screen rather than having to page through it.
But your suggestion will work for me I think. I actually never thought about automatically paying everything under a certain dollar amount. Maybe I should write a policy about that and put it in place.
