Hi Muhamad,

I think I need a little more information here. Can you write out more about what you are trying to accomplish?

Hi Tim.

Sure.

I want to limit the use of document invoice to the user and I want to use GL Account Access (GL.10.40.00) for it.
do you know how to limit the use of documents based on GL Account Access (GL.10.40.00) ?

Thanks again.

Ah, I see. So you want to limit what invoices a user can see based on what GL Accounts are being used on the invoice?

I also like that row-level security feature in Acumatica and think that it's one of the more compelling features.

Regarding what you are trying to accomplish, I'm pretty sure that you would need a customization. One thing to keep in mind, what happens when more than one GL Account is in use on an invoice? Will you look through all of the lines and make the invoice available to the user if any of the lines have a "good" GL Account on them?

I found another way to limit my document, and i used Generic Inquire to do that.

So if user doesn't have an access in GL Account, user cannot see the document.

use the restriction group and Generic Inquire to limit my document. it's not the best solution but it works for now

i'll find another way if i got more time.

That's a good workaround. Just note that the user could still type the document number in the URL to access the document so it's not completely secure.
