This is for a private cloud installation for Acumatica, so I have full access to the database.
Hello.
I was testing email functionality in our client's Acumatica system and temporarily used my Gmail as the System Email account.
I got my personal email working to test email sending from Acumatica, but it ended up importing 5000 of my old, personal emails into Acumatica.
I went through the chore of manually deleting all of them in the interface, but all the emails still exist in SMEmail, and whatever attachments in UploadFileRevision.
The problem is that now a full snapshot has gone from 4MB to about 300MB only because of these bunk emails and attachments that persist in the SQL Server database.
Question:
Can I simply truncate SMEmail? I do not wish to keep any emails sent thus far in the system, as we are still in the early stages of implementation and no "real" emails have been sent yet, so all emails in the system can be deleted.
Thanks ahead.
I personally don't think it will cause critical errors, but of course truncate at your own risk.
