Hi All
I have setup a business event and Notification Template that will email the sales team when a Promised On date is changed within a Purchase Order. This allows the sales team to proactively engage with customers to alert them to the changes.
The Notification Template has a html table in it listing the POLine's and their "new" promised on dates.
The team have asked me to add conditional formatting to the email where if the Promised On date has been moved to a later date the line is shown in red, if its been brought forward then it will show green. This will help them quickly identify if its good news or bad news for customers.
Does acumatica store the Last/Previous Promised On date in a table somewhere? If i could get this data within the system i could use this for the conditional formatting.
Any other ideas for this solution would be great!
Thanks all
Hi Tlynn,
That sounds like exactly what i need but have not solved yet. Where did you manage to pull the data from for the original/previous date for the business event?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
Hey Tami
Thanks for this information it was certainly helpful.
Because we have POLines that can have the promised dates changed individually i was looking for a way to be able to show date changes at a line level without creating spam emails. I think now how im going to achieve this is to create a POLineHistory DAC and have it updated daily with the POLine details. Then have a GI for comparison and run a scheduled Notification Template that grabs all the POLine items that have a different Promised Date from the day before and compile this into a report. That way we can provide the sales team with up to date ETA information for their clients feedback.
