Is there a way to set up the forums so that we can see what is new since the last time we visited? I check back every now and then, but it takes some time to see if there are any new posts.
There are two things you can subscribe to.
To subscribe to an individual topic, just leave the Subscribe to this topic box checked when you reply:
That will let you know when someone replies to the topic.
To subscribe to an entire forum, there is a Subscribe for new topics link on the top of each forum. But you do have to subscribe to each forum individually which is kind of annoying.
There is also an RSS feed link in the screenshot above, but I haven't tried it yet.
To view your existing subscriptions, just go to My Profile -> Subscriptions on the top:
I found the Subscribe link after I sent my request. I was hoping for a filter "New since your last visit." which would let me look at the new topic subjects and let me decide if I want to look at them, instead of getting a dribble of everything.
I have subscribed to all the forums. That's better than having to revisit each to see if there is anything new.
Thanks.
Ah, I see what you mean. Honestly, I'm still learning how this thing works.
I'll keep an eye out for something like that the next time I'm poking around the settings.
This is now a feature. Unread Forums/Posts should now appear in bold.
