I can’t find a straight forward cash receipts journal in Acumatica that provides a detail information on daily cash receipts. Quite simply, I am looking for the following information

Date of Deposit

Customer

invoices (invoice numbers) paid

subtotal by customer

grand total for day.

I am new to Acumatica so maybe I am missing something. This is a standard report in other software applications. Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

David

Hi David,

Acumatica is still lacking in the out-of-the-box reports. But attached is a report that I think is a start, heading in the direction that you are looking for.

Here's a screenshot of some sample data in this report:

And here is the report:

Thanks Tim.  Much appreciated. I will have to figure out how to add your report to my system. I am new to Acumatica and trying to learn as much as I can about the software and its capabilities. Reporting is key so I will need to be an expert in this area.  Thanks again for your help and quick response.

David

You need to install the Report Designer application first. See this thread:
https://www.augforums.com/augforums/acumatica-report-designer/acumatica-report-designer-download

Then you can open the file above in Report Designer. Once you do that, just go to File -> Save To Server...

Then fill out the information for your Acumatica instance with your username/password (if you have multiple companies in your instance, you have to put the company name after @ in the Login field)

That will save the report into your Acumatica instance.

I should add, Report Designer is really made for printed reports which, in my opinion, are becoming a thing of the past.

You might start with Generic Inquiries and Pivot Tables first, or even Excel or Power BI because I think you will find that those tools are a lot easier to work with than Report Designer.
