Hi,
When using the column configuration, the columns with an icon cannot me removed from the screen.
1 - Why?
2- Is it ok to remove them using a Customization project and just deleting them?

I have noticed the same thing. I've always assumed that there is a good reason why you can't remove them, but I've never tried doing it via a Customization Project for fear that it would mess something up. But I guess it's worth a try.
