Anyone know why or a work around to Acuamtica locking down the ability to print/email the SO Confirmation when the SO is in a shipping or backordered status?
It depends on your version. I think SO was moved into the workflow system in 2020R2, or 2021R1. If it's in the Workflow engine, you can control what actions are enabled/disabled through customizations. Customize the screen and you can control what actions are enabled/disabled/visible for each workflow step.
Prior to that, it is controlled through Automation Steps. Select the screen and pick which step the actions are enabled/disabled. You can use this to add additional reports to the drop down as well. Automation Steps is really finicky, so I recommend playing around in a development or sandbox environment first.
