My business event is using a generic inquiry. In that generic inquiry I have a text field pulled in that has email addresses in them. I also have a formula where I have concatenated values to come up with an email address. I would like to be able to use those in the TO and CC lines of the business event notification template, but they dont display for selection. It seems that I can only pull in the email from an existing contact in the system. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you!

Have you tried to build out the complete email address as a string in the GI and then use that field in your template?

Actually, that will not work.  I was trying to do this myself and failed.  You are right, it is not showing up in the list of available email addresses to send to.

From what I've encountered after deploying several Business Event - Notification Template scenarios, the 'TO' and 'CC' field values only reference data where an email-type value/field exists. Since you're explicitly concatenating multiple strings into a final string value, Acumatica doesn't recognize that value as an email field, rather a string field.

We have been successful as targeting custom fields in the 'TO' or 'CC' fields of the Notification Template. So this is definitely a route you could take.

Thank you all! I was able to find these instructions on how to add a custom email field and it worked!
