Hi my name is Lisa,
I am very new to Acumatica. I'm trying to update our Request Approval Map where items under a certain amount are routed to the requestor's supervisor. Is there a way to do that in the "Approver" tab without referring to a workgroup? I see "Employee," "Employee from Document," and "Employee by Filter" as a choice. I don't understand how to direct the approval to the requestor's supervisor.

Off the top of my head, try using "Employee from Document" for the 1st field, and "Reports to" from Employee table for the 2nd.

Am I correct that if I use the "Approver" & "Employee" fields, I don't need to build a supervisor workgroup?

Hi Lisa, you're welcome. I hope it works as it was only my theory. And yes, you can leave Workgroup blank.
