Hi all - I have a report designer report that I have automated to run daily and then send the excel version to an email address.

My opportunity is all the columns in Excel are the same width. Can I set a Column width (Within Report designer) to enable all columns to fit on a standard page?

I have a client base who doesn't want to touch the spreadsheet other than to print it or sort it. I know...I know...It's a cross I have to bare.

Any ideas?

Hi Baraboo Bob,

Can you attach the Report Designer report .rpx file that you are working on? I'd like to take a look at it to see if I can think of something.

Here you go Tim,  I appreciate you looking at it. It is a very basic report.

Have you tried setting the Excel Cell -> Width value for each cell?

Tim, I did set the Excel Width to 1. It appears that is the smallest value I can put in.

When I set it to .5 to come up with a smaller width, I would receive an error.

No worries, I do appreciate the look see and I will just leave the value at 1.

Thank you.

Ah, now I understand. What about using OData to build it in Excel and use the feature in Excel that forces the report to be 1 page wide?
