Now that I can display/embed Power BI reports in Acumatica, I have to figure out security. Previously, we made the decision to run security independently in Power BI. Worked well when everyone had to log in via the PBI portal.
Has anyone been successful pulling security/restriction groups from Acumatica into Power BI? I'm sure that's not the correct terminology.
I don't think Acumatica talks back to Power BI. I think Power BI just runs in Acumatica under the API which has access to everything.
But since Acumatica is communicating over an API and not using a user account, the Acumatica users don't even need a Power BI account. Their access is determined by their Acumatica access to certain Site Map menu items.
I don't think you can utilize Power BI row level security in this setup unfortunately.
