I was experimenting with conditional formatting and hit an unexpected wall. My statement is:
IIf ( [SOOrder.Status] = 'Open', 'good', 'bad')
It's all 'bad,' including the orders with a status of Open. I am sure there is an obvious reason...please tell me what it is! 🙂
Thank you - Kimberly
The status field is actually stored as a single character in the database and the value for open is 'N'. Below is a screenshot from the code of all the different order statuses.

Thanks,
Kurt
Thank you, Kurt!
Here's a little trick to finding the internal values for such fields from GI Conditions. Create a condition on the field you want, tick the From Schema box and then select the value from the drop down list. Then untick From Schema and the internal code will replace the description.
Example:

Saves you having to dig through the code.
Oooh, nice, Royce. Part of what confused me is that the value was 'Open' even when I checked the From Schema box. I was just one click away!
I had the same issue when i first started as you did Kimberly. That was how i luckily stumbled upon this little trick which I use a lot now.
This trick doesn't seem to work anymore. At least not for finding the internal id for Customer Classes. Any other tricks out there?
