Any suggestions on how to link from SOLines to determine where the Unit Price is derived from when Sales Price Worksheets are used and a customer may be on a Customer Price Class and then have Customer Specific Pricing for certain Inventory Items?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hey Julian,

Take a look at this post (click here) and let me know if it's what you're looking for.

Thanks Tim, I'll give it a go.  Shame its so involved 🙂

It would be great if the system recorded on the SOline which Sales Price Worksheet was used to derive the price.

Cheers

Hi @julian-axsys,

Actually, I didn't realize that's what you were asking, but, as far as I know, it doesn't store it. But I would think that would be a really light customization if you want to capture it.

I'm just not sure though that you could cleanly drill into the Sales Price Worksheets screen. My impression has always been that the Sales Price Worksheets screen dumps everything into the Sales Prices screen which isn't really aware of the Sales Price Worksheet at the end of the day.

Hi Tim,

The generic inquiry link to get the customer pricing is really helpful.  I had a try following the scripts in the GI,  however, i got this error when running the query.

'Index(zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list'.

I suspected few things:

1.  Date in DB = dd/mm/yyyy -> thus i have changed to this format -31/12/2020

2.  Not using location for 'shipto' - thus i have removed the relationship

3.  I am wondering how to get this condition into the script (as per attached).  for table relation between InventoryItem Left PriceCustomerPriceClass

=iif(IsNull(CStr(IsNull([Location.CPriceClassID],'')),'')=IsNull([PriceCustomerPriceClass.CustPriceClassID],''),1,0)

*Unable to find Location.CPriceClassID (as not within the table relationship?).

Thank you so much in advance.

Hi @pamela-poh-chuen-ong,

Hard to tell why you are getting that error.

One thing you might try though which I find useful when troubleshooting a Generic Inquiry, go to HELP -> Trace in the upper right-hand corner. It should show you the SQL that is being used. If you take that SQL and paste it into SQL Management Studio, the error message might make more sense and it will be easier to troubleshoot the SQL query. Then you can take what you learn and apply it to the Generic Inquiry.
