I'm pretty sure that this is a bug so I submitted an Acumatica support case, but I'm also posting here in case anyone else has this same issue.
I have a Generic Inquiry that has some calculated columns. The specific one giving me some trouble is called Balance and is highlighted in this screenshot:
Then I have a Pivot Table that is built on top of the Generic Inquiry and it uses the Balance column.
But when I make changes to the Generic Inquiry in my development environment, reload it into my Customization Project, and deploy it to the company that has the Pivot Table, the Balance column gets broken.
When I open the Pivot Table after publishing the Customization Project, I get the message:
"Underlying screen does not contain this field anymore. Probably it should be removed from the pivot."
But you can see the Balance column does exist on the left-hand side in the screenshot above.
To fix it, I delete the Balance column in Values area and re-add it from the Fields area.
The fix is easy, but I have to remember to do it every time I publish a new version of the Customization Project.
Can this bug be fixed so I don't have to fix the Pivot Table every time I publish the Customization Project?
Just wanted to provide an update on this.
I haven't been able to test this yet, but it appears that this was a bug and it has been fixed in Acumatica Build 6.10.1122.
Here is an excerpt from the release notes on Build 6.10.1122:
AC-92237: If a pivot table contained a formula field and the linked inquiry was reimported or a customization project with this inquiry was republished, an error was displayed for this field until the field was removed and added again.
