Generally speaking, when I try to create/modify a GI to get line level detail I am always running into the GI populating duplicate results. Is there a general cause for this or does it vary by GI. Just trying to learn how to correct these types of issues and if there is a common root cause to look into first. As an example below is the Receipt and the PO Receipt by Item GI. You can see the "Pallet" line is listed 9 times for this receipt number.

Duplicate lines have to do with what you have on the RELATIONS tab. I see <SPLIT> in the Location column which should mean there are multiple lines in the LINE DETAILS area. So, I would guess that you're pulling data out of the LINE DETAILS area.
@timrodman This is correct that I am trying to pull from the Line detail. moreover, those that have <Split> are non-stock items and a Location never gets populated on those lines (I actually don't believe you can select a Location)
your join to aptran is wrong
you need to join it to the poreceiptline not the poreceipt
this will give you the joins necessary in the outgoing references
